This is exactly what I have been searching for! You break it down better than any other video I have seen.
I'm trying to play "Ray's Guaguanco" (from the movie "The Mambo Kings") with our big band. Unfortunately my independence is not good, so I need to pick out the important parts (rhumba clave) and try to fill in the rest while kicking the band's accents.

So when you play on drumset you'd rather use Cascara in a Guaguanco than the regular Pallito or Gua gua pattern?

@michaelbasakjr Hey bro, thanks for checking out the videos. This is just one out of many variations! This is just a suggestion. You can do the regular Pallito or Gua Gua pattern as well. Thanks!
