I must report that after two years and many successful flights that this extra met it's doom in the top of a pretty tall tree. After aborting the first landing attempt because it was overspeed, on it's final, final approach, I misjudged the distance of that tree out yonder in the back 40. I got the engine back but servos don't hold up very will to shotgun pellets.

how many hours you got wrapped up in the build? Just bought my kit, wanna know what I'm getting into. Looks as if beer may help though

I built this one in 2 weeks. The wood frame sat in the garage for a few months then covered it in a weekend. It's a simple kit, not much shaping. It flies very well. Yes the elevator throws in the manual al corect, it is sensitive. Beer helps too. Where do you fly?

Cool video of the build. I am almost finished mine and I hope it's ready by next weekend. I put a GMS .47 in it after breaking it in on another plane and it runs great!

Had some issues to work through but the engine is ready to go.

Mount Pleasant IA, airport very little traffic and a bullhorn for radio traffic so it's easy to get out of sky.
