Well, have you heard of Epigenetics? In not, watch Hank Green's video on it, because it's very intriguing. Anyways, genetics are the blueprint, but epigenetics are the activators that tell your body which genetics to use when, where, and in which quantities. DNA change will be less to do with a change in our actual genetics, but with the activation of parts of our genetics that have been turned off.
Cancer may be a negative offshoot of this, where the activation goes awry.
@Goldfeather9 Hey, I'm afraid I don't get it. If the thing is that my DNA changes, how will that occur to all the cells in my body?
I understand the logic of this theory, as scientists have come to the conclusion that most of the human genom consists of genes switched off, so we're ahead of an amazing story.... But how will a dna change happen in me? I haven't heard of any change process of genes in a single body except for diseases.
@clapton79 DNA evolvement means the evolution of your DNA. Actually, in this case, it means reconnecting with the so called "junk" DNA. The strands that have been disconnected from us for 1.,000's of years. There is no such thing as "junk" DNA. Why would there be? We should have 12 strands that are active, not just two. We have been short changed up until now.
Mutation means a change in the DNA BETWEEN GENERATIONS. For example my son can do something I can not.
Somehow I feel that DNA evolvement means to active inactive portions of my own DNA, that probably means a 'total reinstall and load'. Like when I upgrade my Windows.

What does DNA evolvement mean?
Can my own DNA change?

Am I right, or is it something else?
