winter storm 2010

The Weekend of Jan 29th 2010 brought an Ice & snow storm to mid America.
I had to stop at the BP Truck stop off of I-55 in Steele MO. (Exit 8) to fuel and couldnt get back out so I spent the night.
When I woke up the next morning I found many drivers trying to get out of the entrance of the BP Truck Stop but they were all getting stuck...........
Come to find out that the owner of the BP Truck stop on I-55 (exit 8) in Steele MO. also owned the Towing company called D & K...........
Its my opinion that BP DID NOT call a snow plow service to further enhance their Profits that day !
I stayed till 4 pm and the Driveway never got plowed..Hmmmmmm

A little bit snow and no one can go !!!!! How does it come???? Didn´t you have at the USA winter tyres ????? The last 4 years i drove at all Skandinavia for a Norsk company, we have much more snow and ice and never put for once even changes !!!!! Didn´t the US companies change the sommer tyres bevor the winter is coming ????

When you open up that bag or chains don't lose that cam tighening tool. If you put your chains on right and use the cam tighening tool you won't need tarp straps to take up slack and the chains won't loosen up no matter how far you drive. If you're using single chains, my method is to put a block of wood under the inside dual tire to lift the outside tire off the ground to make it quick and easy to put the chain on. Put jersey gloves inside of rubber gloves. Cloth gloves get wet.
