a demo of the danelectro free speech talk box with bass was requested by a member of talkbass forums, and i whipped this up really fast in response.

im sure it will take anything with a quarter inch output. trouble is there is no clean sound on this, so everything will have distortion added to it. not ideal if you're going for the stevie wonder thing with a clav

Does this give you a lot of distortion? or are there any others that have a cleaner tone for around the same price?

theres no real "clean" sound on the free speech. the built in distortion isnt pretty strong. not bad on its own.

i think the rocktron banshee does clean

if there is a quarter inch output, yes, anything can run into it. drums if you'd like.. so long as it goes in quarter inch.

I have a rocktron banshee it's good but the tube it comes with is too thick

yeah, i heard the banshee, it's a lot cleaner :)

I just didn't really wanna pay an extra £70 if the free speach could match it . thanks :)
