  • I'm trying to figure out what part of Osgiliath the fight in 0:1-0:13 takes place in. They're awfully close to the occupied Eastern Osgiliath. Do you think they could be fighting from the island of Tol Githoniel?

  • @LehcnefJieiku You can see where Osgiliath housed their Paliantir, so that gives you a point of refences....But the film said that they've taken the whole eastern shore

  • on the first fight who are they fighting at is it the orcs or just a friendly to the other side?

  • They're trading arrow fire from the orcs on the other side of the city

  • I like this video, Kingdom of heaven soundtrack, right?

  • Yup :)

  • At least the Rohirrim kick ass, even against the superior Uruk-hai.. the Gondorians appear as weaklings.

  • orcs really do like to bite people in the neck and jump on them

  • lol at 2:49 he literally caught that orc.

  • In the older times, Osgiliath was a more important city than Minas Tirith(Minas Anor then), right?

  • 2:49 monkey atack!!!

  • haha the to highest rated comments like totally cold-in-ass:

    Cool. Good.

  • @JAKE84111 Cause they're Rangers who are something like special forces.

  • @SwedishPower1000

Interesting; I never thought of that. But I find it also interesting that the fighting orc force didn't cross, by boat, to the north-western part of Osgiliath (Belthil), and then make their way down [unnoticed] to the Gondorian garrison. It would make more sense to strike the enemy from behind while their backs are turned.

Yes, I love Lord of the Rings and the history leading up till! Respect for you to! Many are ashamed to speak up, just because it is fantasy. ^v^

  • @JAKE84111 Because they're Ithillien rangers! Speciell elite forces of Gondor who guards the border of the ancient kingdom Numenor! Central, southern and northen, Ithillien! Where men of Harad corsses the border to strenghten Saurons advantage at the siege of Gondor.

  • @LehcnefJieiku No, I think not they were able to! Once the orcs had taken advantage of numbers eastern Osgiliath was overwhelmed. And with the gondor soldiers moral devestated after the loss of Boromir it would be impossible to fight so close to the occupied area! (Besides if they would fight at Ton Githoniel they would trapped and cut off the main city by the Nazguls! The island is round and impossible to escape from! But fun to now that I'm not the only tolkien fan! Respect for you mellon! ;)
