In 2009, China and India accounted for 27 percent of the worlds total crude trade volume of 690 million tonnes, a stake which is set to rise. The number of bulk carriers delivered worldwide reached 190 units in the first quarter of 2010, according to the Korea Shipowners Association. Taiwanese shipbulder, the CSBC Corporation, has signed an agreement with Chinese Maritime Transport for the builder of two bulkers.
