@Gnomefro Bullshit if we can't experience anything else that's your sad perspective. I experience spirits every day, I receive messages from them, see them, experience them in many ways. I read people's minds, I sense people's feelings, I feel people's bodily aches and pains as if they are my own, etc. I am an EMPATH (look it up in the dictionary) and a psychic. Nobody can tell me that there are no spirits or other dimensions and you can't tell me that I don't experience other dimensions.

@35mmEntertainment Just because these atheists flunked third grade science and haven't hear of Albert Einstein before doesn't change the FACT that everything is made of nothing but pure ENERGY.

@WhuddayaWantFromMe No, you don't have to be on a spiritual path to understand SCIENTIFIC FACTS. Just because some of the people here flunked third grade science and haven't heard of Albert Einstein before doesn't change the proven fact that everything is made of nothing but pure energy.

We literally can not experience anything else, so it becomes pointless to call it an illusion. And that, by the way, is my pragmatic reason for rejecting brain in a vat arguments as well.
You're living in your head man.. What is the diference? I mean, if a shoe is made of leather, that's made of cells, that's made of atoms, that is energy. It's still a fucking shoe!!

@Deggaren Yes that's true. It's still a fucking shoe, and it's still a lump of dogshit, and it's still a booger that came out your nose, and it's still a Prince Albert cock ring, etc etc. but isn't it amazing that IT'S ALL THE SAME STUFF? You're made out of the same stuff that dogshit is made of. Does that make you feel special? ha ha ha ha but dogshit doesn't think, walk, talk, dream, eat, shit, piss, etc. the thinking aspect of us is spiritual in nature, it couldn't be any other way.

It also is quite laughable that you'd call physical matter an illusion. Sure, the way we experience it on the macro level is not the whole story, but that doesn't make it an illusion that a brick thrown at your head will likely crack your skull. You'd have to go all the way to declaring subjective experience an illusion to accomplish that. If you did, I'd be inclined to agree to some extent, but that "illusion" is also the very definition of what each and every one of us call reality.

@Gnomefro Well now let's see, it something APPEARS to EXIST but is scientifically proven to NOT EXIST I'd say that CLEARLY fits the perfect definition of ILLUSION, wouldn't you? THERE IS NO PHYSICAL MATTER. Period. end of discussion. and if you get hit by a brick and start bleeding, that's an ILLUSION too. A very REAL feeling one, but an ILLUSION nonetheless. And that's a proven fact because MATTER doesn't exist under any circumstances, everything is EMPTY SPACE, proven to be.

"It's been known that everything is composed of nothing but ENERGY since 1905 folks!"
No shit? And E=mc2 tells you that energy and matter have the same basic nature and can be interchanged - much like flowing and frozen water are both water. That's what the equal sign between them means. It really is astonishing that someone can fail to the extent that he thinks he can undermine materialism by pointing at energy.
