The Proposition Bet:
For this cool bar magic trick, you'll bet someone that you can transform 5 bent toothpicks into a five-point star without touching them. This is an easy & cool bar trick to hustle some free drinks! You'll need 5 wooden toothpicks, a smooth surface, and a straw or pen.
The Toothpick Bar Magic Trick Revealed:
Bend each tooth pick in half without breaking it in two pieces. Arrange them a circle as shown. Propose the bet. To pull off the toothpick magic trick, simply add a few drops of water to the center point of the star, using a straw or your fingertip. Watch as the toothpicks magically morph into a star.
The magic behind the toothpick bar trick:
The porous wood of the toothpicks absorbs the water, causing them to naturally revert to their original state.

it actually works... you have to bend 5 tooth picks (w/o breaking them) and put them in the formation at 4 sec. then put a little bit of water in the middle and it works

you all have to realise this isnt fake... you have to break the tooth picks... but not all the way through. just so they are just hanging on together in the middle :)
