PLEASE NOTE! She was trained on the track 8 years ago. This is just her first time cantering under saddle in 8 years. And my first time cantering her. The first clip is just trotting the second is two short canters! She learns so fast! The first few times she didn't really know what I wanted her to and would just trot fast so then my mom had to put the camera down and get a lunge whip to help her understand (since we've done lots of cantering from the ground) and she started to get it pretty fast and then we didn't need the lunge whip :)

Not doing much more canter work under saddle in the round pen since it's kind of small and I don't like riding in there a lot. Look out for more w/t/c clips of riding in the actual ring lol!

  • I dont think a beginer should be training a horse!!!

  • @autochanges Well, I'm not a beginner and I'm not training her myself. Lots of people have been helping and we're always open to advice (from people we know.) Also she is not completely green. She was trained on the track as a two year old. She's just been doing nothing for 8 years. So thanks for your concern.

P.S. I don't think people should leave their criticism in such rude ways ;D.

  • wow she looks awsome already!!

  • @lukelover6996 Thanks! you should of seen her today! But I didn't get clips. I'll get clips next time though :)

  • @robynqq555 I am proud :) And thank you very much! I was encouraging her to keep going but not forcing her. And she came out without me asking her the one time so I just went again until I asked her to come back to trot. But our transitions will get a lot better as we practice more :)

  • aww, shes looking amazing! your so nice and patience and i love that! i hate people that rush there horses into things there not ready and the fact you never kept her going .You should be proud :) Robyn xx

  • YAY

  • @Laurzie24 Thank you so much! This wasn't the absolute FIRST one. But this was minutes after. It can definitely be difficult when they just don't know what you're trying to get them to do. But you just gotta be patient and find the best way to tell them what you want and reward them when they do what you want :)
