This is a short video I made for my English class. Made with various photos and videos taken from the web, as well as personally owned images, it follows the tale of Radioman Second Class Raymond Hector Fasano, my great uncle. He was stationed aboard the USS Bunker Hill and was killed when it was struck by two kamikazes in the Battle of Okinawa.
Due to my sound card not functioning properly, I had to record the narrative with my iPod, hence the terrible sound quality and occasional popping/clicking sound.
My grandfather was on the ship and survived the attack.

My father in law was on the flight deck during the battle. He is gone now. He left us dozens of pictures from the Bunkerhill. Through my wife says he never spoke of his time in the service. From the collection of photos he was surely proud of it. Thanks for posting.

Very nicely done. My grandfather Edwin Orville Wilty died that day on the ship as well. Very nice tribute to them.

Excellent work! and a great tribute to your loved one, I'm assuming your great grandfather. I am working diligently to post my Great uncle Fred and grandfather Jim's collection of historical documents. Thanks for your inspiration, btw the USS VESUVIUS supplied the Bunker Hill with its munitions. I hope they went to good use. Bless you. Chris Larson
