She is diagnosed with autism and epilepsy. The journey to get her diagnosed with epilepsy was the hardest ever. All EEGs came back normal, and doctors many many years ago were telling us these small twitching episodes were tourettes. We believed them, until the twitching episodes changed and got longer, and then developed into new behaviors such as drooling, dropping all of a sudden, bitten tongue or lip, would stop breathing, eyes would be completely rolled back, became unconscious, and soon became into grand mals. We did find out with epilepsy a person can have several small seizures throughout the day that can appear just as "tics" or "random twitching" that may be common with individuals with tourettes.
After countless normal EEGs, we were about to give up until one neurologist did give her some anti seizure medication, it did slow them down, but didn't stop them. After many ER visits, and a lot of close calls(A lot of times, we woke her up, finding her body limp, wasn't breathing, tongue stuck to her roof of her mouth, completely unresponsive, bed full of sweat, drool everywhere, and blood all over her bed from her tongue which was bitten like that for awhile), she was finally diagnosed with Epilepsy.
This video was taken of what we believe were myclonic seizures, before I got the camera she started having them, and after I turned the camera off, she still had them. Before this video was taken, earlier in the day she had almost similar episodes that lasted only 15minutes. The whole day, all she did was lay around, barely could walk, appeared confused, and dizzy, and wasn't even eating.
Since her seizures began to take over, she has lost a lot of motor control, memory, doesn't answer to her name as much anymore, appears even more lost in her own world. They basically set her back even more.
Any feedback or great insight, would be great to hear from, as we continue to fight the seizures, the self injurious behavior, autism, and the long list of other medical problems she continues to face!
Epilepsy is autoimmune due to inflammation in the brain and completely reversible even turmeric stops these seizures read complete treatment on cidpusa dot org

I wish my ex husband would pay attention to #4!!!! I've experienced this many times my daughter trying to walk, go to the bathroom after seizure and she can barely walk. She sleeps on top bunk when visiting dad while her 8 yr old half brother sleeps on bottom. It's bad enough they needed paramedics once who could not access her there and had a hard time getting her down, she's 17. God forbid she sleepwalks out of bed or needs CPR it would be impossible!!! Why is he so stupid????

If anyone ever takes Keppra and gets the side effect of "being mean" or bad behavior, ask your doctor to add Vitamin B-6. It's a great stabilizer with the Keppra. I've heard many people like the combo.

Find an epileptologist. They are neurologists who specialize in seizures and seizure disorders. I also bet that if you get a 24 hour EEG you would find better results than a regular EEG, and it would probably not be normal, if she had something that day. It *might* help the doctors to know her med choices better. I stress the work might. No guarantees with tests.
