For the first time this year, more registered voters said they would vote for the Republican candidate then said they would vote for the Democratic candidate if elections for Congress were held today.
The bill that ultimately repealed the Act was introduced in the Senate by Phil Gramm (Republican of Texas) and in the House of Representatives by Jim Leach (R-Iowa) in 1999.
aren't Phill Gramm and JIm Leach Republicans?
Senate reform bill introduced by Senator John Corzine (D-NJ) (S.1656) never made it out of the 21-member (10D/11R) Senate Banking, Housing, and Urban Affairs Committee.[17].
well check your facts, cuz i just did. (D)s aren't perfect, but much better then regressive (R)s!
I did read it, and seemed to me that you rationalized the loss so that you won't have a long face come Nov. 2010. And even if Bush lost in 2004 I doubt that anything would be different today, it was not a Republican who repealed Glass-Stegal and it wasn't Republicans who curtailed the drive to regulate Fannie and Freddie.
came to terms? did you read what i wrote? you really don't understand politics. so why do you even post? you obviously feel better now. so, good luck to you. but let me remind you who started this mess. can you guess? or did you forget who YOU voted for in 2000 and 2004. Even if you can't see it, He's your messiah too!
Looks like you came to terms with the eventual loss. And for the record most experts don't see a drop in un-employment until after Nov. 2010, and Afghanistan doesn't seem to inmprove especially since your messiah has so far dragged his feat on the strategy whater that is.
it is as old as john mccain the winning presidential party always loses seats in the first midterm election. 1 year is a light year. If unemployment drops below 7.5%, and Afghanistan turns around before the election, you will see a democratic win. if not it will be republicans with modest gains.

Get used to seeing Xs on poll graphs, because that's been the trend since Jan 21st. Hopefully, the correct Democrats will be voted out.
