I did read it, and seemed to me that you rationalized the loss so that you won't have a long face come Nov. 2010. And even if Bush lost in 2004 I doubt that anything would be different today, it was not a Republican who repealed Glass-Stegal and it wasn't Republicans who curtailed the drive to regulate Fannie and Freddie.

Looks like you came to terms with the eventual loss. And for the record most experts don't see a drop in un-employment until after Nov. 2010, and Afghanistan doesn't seem to inmprove especially since your messiah has so far dragged his feat on the strategy whater that is.

it is as old as john mccain the winning presidential party always loses seats in the first midterm election. 1 year is a light year. If unemployment drops below 7.5%, and Afghanistan turns around before the election, you will see a democratic win. if not it will be republicans with modest gains.
