ASHTON - The Soda Fountain in Ashton closed last December.
After a make-over of the interior it's now re-opened as more than a place to get drinks.
"We're at a time right where history and the things of our past are rapidly disappearing," said owner Jeff Hamilton.
This building used to be a bank, and the owners decided to keep a few of the relics, and they're calling this a "safe room" for a date. And if you get locked in there, don't worry, the combination is easy, it's just the number 50.
Hamilton continued, "Some of the folks that have been here a long time it was a very emotional thing to them to not lose that piece of history."
The Hamilton's turned this former pharmacy, once former bank, into a pizza parlor shop. Keeping history on their walls, and using the bricks to remind everyone of the Teton Mountains. And if that nostalgia isn't enough, how about this Cherry Iron Port, or a Huckleberry shake.
"The Huckleberry berry is a delicious berry that is very hard to pick very hard to find," Hamilton said.
Jeff was nice enough to make me one of their classics, a huckleberry shake. Mmhmm that's good. In Ashton I'm Steven Pope, channel 3 eyewitness news."
The Pizzeria is taking advantage of a play on numbers.
Not only is it May 11th, the shop's name is 5-11 Main and opened its doors at 5:11pm.
