I love Sandrine to bits but in some sections she sounds a bit like she's barking the coloratura out.. glottally.
I'm still loving her of course. She's an accomplished 360° baroque artist - unlike some other wannabe mezzosopranina that I won't name lol
And for the record, not Genaux who is simply stunning like Piau.

Vivaldi fue un compositor prolífico con ferocidad de las óperas para el corte-borde de los teatros de su tiempo.
Maravillosa interpretación, un excelente fraseo con bellos saltos interválicos.

Wonderful!!! I must confess that I started listening to Piau's interpretation of this aria while comparing her to Bartoli (because I've listened so often to Bartoli's to the point that I have memorised it), but once I got over the thought of Bartoli, I was able to appreciate Piau as I should. She uses wonderful cadenzas!!! and her singing is very dynamic!!! beautiful!!!

Yes the ornaments of the da capo sections of this recording of La Fida Ninfa are wonderful, and to me the entire cast is great! however I would have prefer Invernizzi in the role of Morasto (there's a video in youtube where she sings a fragment of dite oime!) but Cangemi is quite acceptable.
