im going to be honest. i dont understand why all you guys are saying limbaugh is destroying the G.O.P. im 17 and before i started listening to him i didnt care about politics. however my boss played him at work so i got interested and now look at rush as one of the most influential people in my life. he explained politics better than anyone els could to me. i now consider myself a republican and cant wait to vote next year when im 18. i think we need to be more conservvtitve as a party instead

On the note of limited supply of doctors: With a small population of "licensed" doctors they can impose pretty much any price they want for their services. There are 126 medical colleges in the US and they cut back on enrollment in the late 90s. The US has not authorised a new medical school since the early 1900s and actually declined to approve of a Caribbean-based school whose graduates had a 92% success rate of med school admittance on their first try.

The cost of healthcare is a direct result of past government interventions. One shouldn't even need insurance to pay for medical care - it should be affordable out of pocket. There is no impetus on the medical market to keep prices down. In the early 1900s Congress imposed stringent licensing procedures and shut down a large amount of medical schools. This reduced the number of available doctors who could practise legally and thus: drove up demand while reducing supply.

I read the other day that 6 MILLION children in the USA have NO Health Insurance or access to a doctor!

Funny thing, I told someone that a Harvard study that was published said that 44,000 people die for lack of health care. And the CDC stated that 47 Million people have no insurance, They called it "Liberal Bias", I don't want to get my information from Liberal media sources, does anyone know where I can get the real numbers from?
