@djmaniacx - This really is one of *the* most heartbreaking episodes of Cold Case. I haven't seen all of the seasons, but anyway, this episode was especially moving.

I think Brandy was the way she was because of her parents. They either ignored her always going on fancy trips or abused by having her brother hold her head under water

This was the first Cold Case I ever watched. I was 12, just like the girls in this episode. It made me realize a lot of things, my childhood reaching its end among them. The ending scene brought me to tears, because, aside from being really touching story-wise, Rita happily riding her bike and then just fading, reminded me of my innocent childhood years, and how fast they'd gone by... but what an excellent episode, really.

Sincerally it's hard to see the episodes about children cases, It breaks my heart and feels so sad and tearing, showing their ghost in the final flashback. Cause I'm teacher and works with them.
Anyways I love the show =)
