I didn't drive my car for a month over the snowy winter and when I came to start it the battery was flat and subsequently flooded the engine.

It took three days of removing fuses, the Fuel and Air Pumps, the spark plugs (which on the Renesis Engine are pretty much underneath the vehicle and need it to be jacked up and the (UK side) front passenger wheel removed.

Finally after three days of de-flooding, cranking, drying, cleaning, and swearing... it lives!

I just took it down the motorway for a run-in - 70mph in 3rd gear @ 8000 rpm. Ahhhh, the sweet smell of victory... and petrol... and oil.

  • can you break a rotoary by hydrolocking? I know these engines dont have pistons, im not sure they have valves.

  • @StringyUK although it woulda been interesting to be able to SAFELY light that gas cloud.

  • @yamahonkawazuki And remember... no naked flames!

  • @stumpy166521 yeah that does work. same principle as my 88 does. dear GOD when she fired. id hate to be a smoker in the raw gas cloud trailing my vehicle lol

  • @yamahonkawazuki had to do that with the 82 rx that i bought it sat for 8 years ....put gas in the tank and had a pussh from behind ...took awhile but worked

  • easy way to clear a rotary, ive had to do in my 88 rx7, is remove the fuel pump fuse. and crank it over. or have someone attach a tow chain to it. pull in gear, so endine spins over, if you cannot get it to fire first off
