This was good except he doesn't explain what "Go To" is for, so it's confusing when he goes through each set to set "Go To" up without understanding why, or what it's really for.

@TheStillpond Hello I think I will have to redo this video its quite old, the go to in the actions pallette is exactly that it goes to a frame (or anything else) its just part of the code i,e goto frame 5 ect, just like the get url will go to theat url

i figured what my mistake was: i had to open Script Assist mode before i had any actions written (otherwise it was giving me that error message). And only then i would get correct left hand menu. Now everything works perfectly. Thank you for your time, David, anyway!

I got stuck with the very final thing: everything works but button doesn’t bring up the ‘about us’ text in swf

I get : Unable to use script assist mode due to errors in the script

Typing code in manually didn’t work either

I probably made some primitive mistake, being new. But maybe there is something wrong with my software? I hope you can help me with this, as I'd love to carry on with your tutorials. Cheers!

@DinoCopRulezTheWORLD Hi Dino THank you for your explanation, I will admit this course is probably the only one that I have had confused comments about, and I am going to do another one and probably remove this, just because of that... you must remember I do these videos in my own time for no money what so ever, they are not professionally produced or reviewed/edited. I do bear you views and thoughts in mind though.

I literally started FLASH CS4 at college last week, I have never used Flash before, after looking through numerous tutorials, i like yours the most. They are clear for a newbie like myself. I'll be watching more over the next few weeks to help with my flash assignment. Cheers.

@IMAGINATI0NZ0NE no need of transplant of any kind. I know it is hard to look at things primitively when you have 20years of experience. But for some (me included) it is hardcore nessecery to go step by step as teaching totaly newbie (because we are). So it is very (VERY) hard to follow when we are lost, because for YOU it is very obvious what you did. There is not a single wish to carry on with tutorial when it totaly missguide you.
