  • Baysadaye, the only LOSER here is you. Grow up. Your hateful, ignorant attitude is appalling. Get a life and get some psychological help because you need it. I did not respond because unlike you I have a full and busy life. I'm sorry your life is so pathetic that you have to troll YouTube videos and insult people like Jimmy Osmond to feel better about yourself.

  • He won a Best New Male Vocalist Award in JAPAN in 1969. Had his hit song in 1968. Why you are being such a JERK is beyond me. Google is your friend! A simple search will reveal the info in many places including Rolling Stone Magazine. So take your attitude and shove it.

  • Jimmy!!! Good Job Mate!

  • Thankyou for sharing this!

  • @rhiann0n1 I agree. Very sweet peple and their work with The Children's Miracle Network is wonderful don't you agree? Glad he got to talk to a mentor of mine Sir David Frost.

  • Plus, since WWII the Japanese have grown to adore America and consume American pop imports without much discretion. In 1968 that country was far more insular and its people relatively nondiscerning about what was going on in the West. In other words, their tastes were unsophisticated, they took what they could get and were barely able to tell the difference between the Beatles and the Osmonds. For what it's worth.

Why is this on Al Jazeera by the way??? Strange.

  • Fascinating. I have been to Japan numerous times and respect the Japanese and love Japanese pop culture. It is supremely ridiculous. I also have a high tolerance and appreciation for "guilty pleasures" of the 1970s like Starland Vocal Band and Disco Duck. But Japanese pop music and Japanese tastes are notoriously terrible. What else could explain a 5 year old "lesser Osmond" being such a hit in their country.

  • Excellent. Show me Jimmy Osmond's discography and anything else you have. The last person who dared to argue over this LOST. I'm not picking on Jimmy Osmond or anybody else, but when people try to rewrite history based on HERESAY, I cannot accept, nor can I forgive. I own Jimmy Osmond's albums, even "Little Arrows," and I was THERE when Jimmy had his one and only top 40 single in 1972, which barely made it to #38. All I'm asking is that you SHOW ME EVIDENCE. I'll give you 72 hours.

  • baysadaye ive just got to read all your childish words talk about petty look jimmy osmond in fact had 5 number ones in japan on denon records from 1968 to 1981 all sung in japanese so get of your high horse and get real ha ha your a joke

  • what a lovely, humble, gracious man he has become....that all of the brothers have become....what a wonderful job Father and Mother Osmond did of raising their children.

  • Whatever you think about his music, he was a millionaire before he was 18 and has always been successful. He's still working in the entertainment industry after all these years...I should be so lousy at what I do...
