I go to record a document at the recorders office. It has a few specks on it from the printer. The person rejects it. They are small insignificant specks so I ask whats up. He says "specks are a legibility issue". I ask "is the document illegible??". He says "no, it's very legible, but specks are a legibility ISSUE". Argued for about ten minutes.

A gov't job is actually difficult to obtain. You try getting one. It's a tiresome process. I agree that most who deal with the public should get customer service training.

I recently went to the City of Oakland to pull a building permit. I had done this 5 or 6 times before. The guy behind the counter was a moron. I think this was his first time seeing a computer.

After about 10 mins. I had to lean over the counter and show him how to work his computer. What normally took 5 to 10 mins. took 45 mins.
