John Lasseter does NOT have anything against quirky. He just gave notes on how to imporve the story, but Sanders choose not to change things.

This is not the first time something like this had happened. Lasseter also had to make a similar decision with Ratatouille.

John Lasseter believes in quality stories, and he will always do what is best for the good of the story.

I love Bolt. I thought it was a great film.
