I'm not so sure that people are rioting because politicians don't listen. There are probably other reasons.

You are right, I should have made it clear that there were more reasons.

I've said for quite some time that Critical Thinking and Philosophy should be taught in schools from a young age. That way people will have been trained to think a lot more about their actions.

A larger part of this could also be fearlessness and group safety along with greed.

Most had very little to lose - they probably were not going to get caught - consumerist culture.

BTW your quite right issues like this require that parties should set a side their political differences and unite inorder to best deal with such dire national emergencies as these riots but for quite sometime now they do just simply revert to childish point scoring which serves no purpose.

Sorry if I misunderstood you I`m tired of the media rolling out apologists who then blame such vile behaviour on government cut backs or claim that the police aren`t doing enough to "Bridge Gaps" those animalistic thugs don`t care about anything and will always hate the police because the police get in the way of their personnel crimewave ambitions yet some people just don`t get this.

I live near the same people too and if you remember, I displayed anger at them in the first half of the video saying exactly what you said.

What I expect the government to do is listen to the people for once. People like you and I who have genuine concerns... instead they sit around point scoring trying to earn the votes so they can say "we have power nur nur ne nur nur" and not change a damn thing.

Look son just what the f.... Do you want the government to do that would placate these thugs? Perhaps if you lived on my council estate you would learn that these thugs couldn`t even tell you who the prime minister is. All they want is free shit and to enjoy some fun. These thugs that you have been watching do this on a daily basis I know I live next to them. Not a day or night goes by without them causing little mini riots on their estates making life miserable for the rest
