Tessa01

This is how my 3 year old mule Five Hills Champagne Tessa was returned to me after a month at a trainers. She was so badly injured that we ultimately had to have her euthanized at the MU (Missouri University) Equine Hospital, it's a Veterinarian School. Thank you all for caring about what happened to Tessa, because of the ineptitude of the Investigators for the Missouri Humane Society, the prosecutor had nothing to use to prosecute these people. Do a search for Tessa's website, Tessasordeal to learn more about it.

The Humane Society would not help me and I could not do it alone. They did not do their job and on top of that, they stiffed me for the vet care they ordered at the university hospital.

The trainers who were responsible for her care are listed on her website. I cannot say what they did to her because I don't know what they did but I feel her pictures there tell the story even if she couldn't and this all happened while in their care.

Tessa was euthanized as a result of the injuries she sustained. IT's been a year and we have never been able to convince the prosecutor, in the county where this happened, to file charges.

WHOEVER did this- needs to be shot, the subhuman piece of garbage is not a trainer and needs to be put away for life. I honestly dont know how you kept from taking the guy apart-- I would have, theres no excuse for this or any other "training" abuse that goes on . SUE the maggot and shove him into the gutter where he belongs. Anyone that knows mules knows they will not hurt themselves , this was done on purpose.out of anger. I hope he rots in hell for it

I am shocked to see the state of this beautiful mule and cannot for the life of me think how these injuries occurred, they are horrendous. I know it's easy to say in hind sight but I feel I would have called a vet to the trainers property before I even moved her just so they could see the state of her. I really feel for you, and especially when there seems to be no satisfactory conclusion to your ordeal. I wish you every success with whatever you go forward with.

Was hat dieser "trainer" bloß diesem Tier angetan!! Er muß zur Verantwortung gezogen werden....unbedingt! Was muß die Tessa bei ihm ausgehalten haben,um solche Wunden davon zu tragen...man kann es sich nur schwer vorstellen.

looking at the pictures from the website and going by what the trainer claimed, they said that she stopped in the middle of the road, it looks alot like shes be hitched up to the back of a truck and dragged. also looks like they did soring on the poll of her head in an attempt to get her to move through pain pressure from the bridal or halter, like some people do with walking horses on there fetlocks. all incredibly inhumane and down right out of order. id like to drag the trainer behind a truck

@smoothmule People piss me off. >.< That "trainer" should be hung from the nearest tree, and left for the buzzards to pick their bones. Did you try contacting your local news station to see if they wanted to do a segment on Tessa's story? The bad press for the athorities may have been enough to light a fire under their butts to get them to do something.

I hope that you've published the name(s) of the so-called "trainer" who is responsible for this. That was horrible! I am so sorry for your loss. It must have broken your heart to see her like that. You need to make sure that NO ONE EVER TAKES ANY ANIMAL TO THOSE PEOPLE AGAIN. The link to her website is not working. I tried to find it. You should consider sueing in civil court. These monsters need to be taken down!
