This kind of driving would get you immediately removed from my department.

What if in that split second that the operator was looking at the officer a van full of family couldn't get out of the way fast enough?? In a blink of an eye you could wipe out an entire family.

In most states it's called VEHICULAR MANSLAUGHTER. EMTs and FFs all over the country are going to prison for killing innocent people driving like this.

Kentland has a great reputation but this video shoots that in the ass.

I can't believe ANYONE from that department would condone this public display of idiotic behavior.

SLOW DOWN...STAY LEFT...AND KEEP YOUR EYES ON THE ROAD!!!

We put the fire out, and rescue anyone in danger. You are completely wrong to say that everything we do is unsafe. Had you been employed with our dept you would have lost your driving privilages and been facing a disiplinary inquiry and possible termination. Way too fast in the intersections and had that car stopped suddenly in the last intersection you would have collided.

I dont see anything wrong here. If you know the area and watch video, the first red light it was a Left turn only and they came up on the right side of landover rd. No reason to slow down if you have a Full view of the road left to right, And the sec red light they did slow down.

While I do appreciate the fact that the driver is situationally aware of his surroundings and is constantly checking his mirrors, the fact that the operator did not even appear to slow the vehicle when approaching the red signals at 0:48 and 1:49 is extremely scary and could have resulted in an accident that could have had injuries or death.

Not really going to dog the driving. I've lived in the DC area...PG county specifically in Landover/ Capital hts. While yes, they should drive on the left, because drivers are told to pull to the right, but if you've ever driven in DC area traffic....most don't yield anyway, they just slow down or stop in the travel lanes. I've seen Kentland and various other PGVFD in action and i gotta give them props on their driving/EVOC. But i will say..safety works on both ends..drivers and operators.
