The German medieval tradition often describes wrestling actions rather than giving them explicit technical terms. For future ease of reference and discussion, here are 4 fundamental German throws that occur frequently -- anyone know modern English names for these?

    Throw #1 is called "Hip throw" they tend to us more verbs

    Throw #2 I think it's call a wedge

    Throw #3 is an outside reap or outer reap

    Throw #4 looks to be a inner reap variation

    2 is almost like a pro-wrestling sidewalk slam but wedge may be right

    3 Is an outside trip called osoto gari in judo I think

    4 this isn't a move used in modern wrestling with its low stances, it is clearly useful against swordsmen but modern wrestlers dont use those very often. But it almost looks like a firemans carry done without hooking the leg. That move has a name but I can't remember it
