Sister Wendy in Conversation Part 2

Sister Wendy is the Flying Nun. :)

Over a period of years of watching the sweet sister, I understand her. I can't live the life she has lived, never would consider it, but she has LIVED. She has observed the arts and seen more than a lot of us do who are free. I use Sister Wendy in my art history classes. I think she is a thoughtful art critic.

I don't think people should be judging Sister Wendy and her "sad" life. Just by watching this video, it is clear what a smart, intelligent woman she is, regardless of her religious beliefs. Don't dismiss her because her religious beliefs differ from yours.

I'm an outspoken atheist and a fan of Sister Wendy.

It really makes me sad to see someone throw away their life like this. She knows very well she can't talk to any 'higher power' or anything of the sort. She knows it's not bliss being isolated from so much of life in such solitude.

I despair at the thought of people like her teaching children it is good to spend your life in denial.

She can seem to have wisdom to the simplest of minds.

PLEASE people! Wake Up!

That's a bit unfair; I mean, it's all relative, right? Her life might have been lived differently than we've lived (or are living) ours, but that was HER decision to make and I doubt she'd ever say that it was a waste or a mistake.

What's sadder is that more people aren't as sure about their places in life as she is. Surely that kind of conviction is something to be admired.

I was watching this as some funny joke, and as a 15 year old, I was like "whoa" watching this. She expresses her self with such grace, and such opinion. She is a very intelligent lady.
