I like your take on this song. Been playing it for years on my acoustic alvarez (exactly like yours). All your stuff is pretty good. I also see that one of your influences in Andy Mckee, you definitely can't go wrong with listening to him. Take care

@jawmunji haha guitar face:The look on a guitar player's face while playing, usually looks like said person is using their instrument to masturbate. - urban dictionary

Definately move around. I usually have 3 songs I'm working on at any one time, some days I just revise old stuff. Being away from a song for a few weeks can actually help!

NIce job on this, Johnny. I've been playing a little bit of fingerstyle for a few months now, mostly old folk tunes. I looked at the tabs for this and couldn't figure out where my left hand fingers were supposed to go just to play the first few bars! Maybe I'll give this an attempt at some point in the future. It's cool that you accepted the challenge for this!

Thank you! Ya I tend to dive right into things. Looking back I think I should have started with something easier haha. Give it a go, its hard but such a cool song to play.

Excellent, finally a response! A good effort for a first fingerstyle attempt. You have the left hand for the task, the right hand is still struggling a bit with thumb independence, but that comes (eventually ;))
Timing is sketchy, but that is because you are still learning it...you must memorise it. Firstly it means you can stop "thinking" the song - push it into muscle memory and it will start to smooth out - secondly because it helps overcome guitar face ;)
Keep up the good work
