This is a simple song in terms of production (very simple piano chords) but very complex in its arrangement and lyrics. This song has a lot of meaning for me and I really hope someone gets something out of it. As artists, we try to use our palette to paint an incredible story and hope that those who get a chance to enjoy the art will also take something away from it. My art is my music and I hope you are able to extract something from it.

  • Thanks for sharing this. That's what I want people to get from this song. The truth is we have all been victims of something, racial inequality, gender issues, status, war, domestic violence, etc. The main thing is 100% of us have been victims to ourselves, victims of life. So thanks for getting personal for us.

  • @mrslaurent617 Im getting married next year and your song "the wedding song" will be playing as I walk down the isle.I have lost some family due to my relationship BUT im ok with it, in my loss I am gaining a family that loves me unconditionly!

  • God bless you Patrick.I am engaged to a Haitian man, I am white. Some of my family will not speak to me cuz I am with him,but my heart knows no color! I was in a relationship with a white man who beat me,im still recovering from a head injury from 5 years ago,my family was happy because he was white.dont set boundaries based on color, status or religion, because outside those boundaries you may find true love and happiness
