Top 10 World Richest Countries 2020

• By 2017, China will become the world's largest economy, surpassing the United States
• By 2012, India will overtake Japan to be the world's third largest economy
• By 2012, Russia will surpass Germany to be the fifth largest economy in the world
• Mexico also enters the top 10 by 2020, overtaking Italy.

There are several benefits as result of these shifts. With more emerging markets entering the top 20, and these markets having higher populations, consumer goods and services industries are positively affected. There is also an emerging middle class in many emerging markets, eager to spend money on luxury goods. Additionally, a rising youth population in emerging economies means positive growth for fast moving goods markets.

However, there are disadvantages to this shift in ranking. Stricter regulations in many of the countries means goods are more difficult to move. Many of the economies, including China, India, and Russia, contribute immensely to global warming. Finally, social unrest is more prevalent in fast-growing markets.

  • @ AntiReligionistz

GDP (PPP)- Gross Domestic Product ,,because its the actual thing what we call as GDP

GDP Nominal- Gross Domestic Product (Nominal) = Gross National Product

  • @AntiReligionistz

GDP means Gross Domestic Product,,which is consider mostly as Purchase Power party

GDP Nominal is actually GNP- Gross National Product but its consider new words as "GDP Nominal",,i know these because i am an economic studient

India's GDP Nominal is going to overtake UK this year to be 6th largest,,this is because GNP growth rate is 14% and each countries over India were only few billions in difference with India

  • @kafirstunner666er

we use nominal here if you're comparing countries. Nominal is an attempt at an absolute measure, a sort of immovable standard that remains the same from country to country. PPP is for local.

  • @AntiReligionistz

Your talking about "GNP" also known as "GDP (Nominal)"

India overtake Japan in 2011 to become the third-largest economy in terms of real GDP PPP - Japan 4,571 T USD and India 4,863 Trillion USD according to this year report

But GNP or GDP Nominal,,India is 7th largest and Japan is 3rd largest,,by the way dont check from wikipedia reports,,wikipedia as outdated 4-5 yrs difference is there

  • @kafirstunner666er

i just checked.. India's gdp is 1.8t and japan's around 5.8t. So what did india overtake?
