This is a private vinyl EP release from 1989 by this odd one man project. Would you believe that it had connections to that classic band ASPHYX?
Total DIY metal underground. With all those black metal/noise bedroom projects nowadays, the recording seems to be nothing special, but in the 80ies & early 90ies there weren't many other bands in that style. Don't get me wrong, it's crap and the sound obviously stems from total absent of talent. There doesnt seem too much thoughts behind it and the weird distorted spoken vocals are unbearable (listen to the lyrics of "Boiling Blood"). Still, the band has a certain appeal, for example in the last track "Destroyed Land", which I included completely. Why the applause? And the droning ultra simple rhythm is mezmerising...I don't know, but at moments this band really shines and almost seems original, cool of some sorts.
Odd in any aspect and I heard Jan List was quite a character, so this definately goes to my "cool crap metal list".
