Mortal Kombat - Scorpion - Fullscreen Spear

After an Air Throw, dask backwards halfway and use Spear. If Spear connects, Scorpion can do another 30% or higher combo (Total of 72% no meter or 80% 1 meter).

Notes:
- Spear is safe when blocked fullscreen.
- Spear doesn't go over the opponent even if blocked low.
- If the opponent tries to jump out, Spear will hit.
- If the opponent ducks too late, Spear will hit. (This is a mistake in the video.)
- If Spear is used too late, the opponent is able to duck in time.
- Spear will also miss if the opponent stays on the ground.
- The only way to counter Spear is to use a wake-up attack (usually with armor).
- Once your opponent knows their safest option is to stay still, you can mix it up with Helfire for an additional 7% damage (make a full backwards dash then use Hellfire).
- The opponent cannot Tech Roll after an Air Throw, but he can stay on the ground for a split second then press a button to Tech Roll, causing Spear to miss. This Tech Roll is different because the opponent can't use a wake-up attack after it.
- This is not something that should be used every time. Instead of Spear, you can block and punish a wake-up attack.
- Against Scorpion, instead of dashing backwards, press Block quickly.

Works good against:
Scorpion, Ermac, Kitana, Sektor, Sonya, Shang Tsung, Kenshi

Doesn't work good against:
Kung Lao, Mileena, Cyrax, Smoke, Kabal, Raiden, Skarlet, Rain, Freddy Krueger

It is still decent against every other character since their wake-up attacks don't lead to full combos.

Please note that this is a low risk, high reward tech. Scorpion cannot be punished by a full combo (besides the characters that it doesn't work good against). There is little reason for the opponent to use a wake-up attack at fullscreen. The opponent will most likely waste meter. If you do use it against characters like Kung Lao, it becomes high risk, high reward.

@BehindTheLight99: Yeah a smart opponent will always just block or stay on the ground. You also get free meter gain. Once your opponent knows that their safest option is to stay still, you can mix it up with Hellfire for an additional 7% damage. A normal Hellfire is guaranteed if your opponent doesn't do a wake-up attack (the timing is a full backwards dash).

It's not something that should be done everytime. One time, I held block instead and punished a Johnny Cage Enhanced Shadow Kick.

@RedRaptor10 I'm an above average MK9 player and I have yet to find out how to stay on the ground, I try holding down while also holding down block but that doesnt seem to work. Care to explain? :3

@toastyblues06: Not much of a find because I'm sure almost every Scorpion player has tried this before. I still use Sektor but he's kind of boring now and it's hard to find something new with him since all he has is Up Missile.

And if they do anything else...they will be most likely countered most of the time. It's a safe meaty attack, that's the point. It means he can mixup it with something else.
