"Can't Explain" TV Ad

So let me get this straight, if I pay $300/month x 12 months + 1000 flex spend account and 1000 in copays =5600/year I currently spend on healthcare per year. Using the McCain plan, I can stop paying my $5600/year and instead get a $5000 credit to pay for my own insurance?? Sounds like a wash for me but consider the fact that EVERYONE in the country will also get $5k to pick up insurance, that is $5k more than the uninsured would have under the current HC system. Better than a socialist soluti
