An amazing pilot project in Fiji that is bringing damaged coral reefs back to life. This is a sequence from the film "Fragile Paradise", part of the BBC's documentary series "South Pacific".
Note to moderators: this film was directed and produced by myself for the BBC Natural History Unit.
This gives me hope! :---)

Are there any updates to this video? In a year and a half there must have been some significant growth.

@jacko1423 Yes as a reefer I was astonished with the growth rate. Mother nature makes me very jealous...

I live in Belize. I had seen this video a while back and wanted to do the same here. Then I found out it is. I went to a presentation last night and this morning we met at 9:00 AM and went out to snorkel and view a new site on the Island where I am in San Pedro, Ambergris Caye. Was very cool and while I was there I found many loose corals about and moved and secured them. Knowledge is power to make a difference. So teach and share people.
