Association of New Jersey Chinese Schools (ANJCS) Chinese Yo-Yo (Diabolo) competition at Montville High School, on April 26, 2009.

This is a video of me at the competition, of what my performance should have looked liked. I had told the people in charge specifically not to stop the music at a certain point in my performance, and unfortunately, they did. Consequently, I had to redo the entire performance, and I did worse in my second attempt. I think the judges scored only my second attempt =(

I did not place anything in the Juniors category.

Songs
-Red Hot - Vanessa Mae
-Toccata and Fugue in D Minor - Vanessa Mae

  • your realy good but the chinese whip (if it is couse I'm don't know much ) looks kinda funny I do it to look cooler

  • That was the original way to do the chinese whip acceleration. If you notice most chinese people now do it that way (William Lin does it too).

Haha you think it looks cooler? My way it speeds it up faster because it's a bigger whip motion

  • hey nice vid hope u do better nex time i was wondering what song are u using?cause i have a competition 2 pls reply thx

  • First song is Red Hot.

Second song is Toccata and Fugue in D Minor.

Both are edited to fit 3 and half minutes.

Both songs are played on the violin by Vanessa Mae.

  • ok thank u

  • @roanokekids well they're mostly avaialbe in stores. It depends where you live though. If you go to jugglingstore[dot]com (for USA) good beginner ones are like $30

  • what about a beginer one because i think i will buy one

  • ok thx

  • @roanokekids It depends where you get them. for the diabolo's I'm using in the video, in the US they cost about $50 USD but in Taiwan like $20 USD. But most good diabolos that you buy in US (online) are $40-50 USD.

  • how much should a good diabolo cost?

  • Oh cool you were good I was there. My brother competed in the Youth division thing. He was the one with a yellow yo-yo and the song Eurodancer. =)
