I did an internship in Chicago from July through September 2009. I lived right beside John Hancock Center and worked right beside Sears Tower (don't call it Willis Tower, stranger). A breathtaking city. These are some of my photos.

  • @dadga : ok thanks for your reply . but which one is safer and better for shopping. shop good with less? I already know Orlando, Miami, Tampa, New Jersey and NYC. for me Manhattan is on the top of my list. and i am planning a trip for next august. so would you really advice me Chicago? Also, is chicago very very wakable? I love the wakable city

  • @jpetienne05 Chicago is very pedestrian friendly. It's one of the most walkable big US cities.

As far as I know, NYC is safer than Chicago. I had never any problems in Downtown Chicago. But there are some dangerous neighborhoods in the surroundings.

I'm not very interested in shooping. However, Chicago's Magnificent Mile has been named by the National Geographic along with Rodeo Drive and 5th Avenue as one of the ten best shopping avenues in the world. But NYC might be better for shopping.

  • is chicago better than manhattan?? i went to manhattan last year it was OMG, great. But what about chicago?

  • @jpetienne05 I have also spent some days in Manhattan and it's great for sightseeing. But I prefer Chicago to NYC. Chicago is cleaner, the people are friendlier and its lakefront with the sandy beaches is sensational.

True, the skyscraper district of Manhattan is spectacular because of its sheer size. However, 4 of the 6 highest buildings of the US are in Chicago and the architecture is more interesting because it's the birthplace of the skyscraper.

    I guess it's a matter of taste.

  • the picture at :32 is in Millenium Park (excuse spelling)

  • @tvasbinder Yes, and the sculpture is the Clouds Gate

  • true dt u know screw tennesse

  • Chicago over Miami hands down!!!!! I used to live in Chicago/Milw for many years and now I live in Tampa. I freq travel to Miami and it's already burned out. Miami just has South Beach, no jobs and ass really. Other than that mostly everyone is foreign and silly. There is no comparison and won't be for a very long time between southern cities and northern ones. Primarily due to their history, prestige, job etiquette and size volume. Chicago, NYC, Boston, Seattle and Toronto. Long live Chicago!!!

  • @OXIDON1 I would think Miami is more a winter city than a summer city simply because it's so hot in summer and beautiful in winter.

  • Yeah chicago not only the best summer city but the best city

  • are you crazy??? Miami City is best CCITY IN USA, and best summer city MIAMI RULES

  • @dagda3000 yep! I love it
