What if this music follows Gary Oak around wherever he goes? Like, everywhere he goes and for everyone he battles, this music is just contantly ringing in his ears.

That's because it DOES. From the moment of his birth, this music started playing. And NO, it doesn't ring in his ears because for him, this is considered normal.
This also happened with me and anyone else who achieves a certain level of AWESOME and badassery. You get your own theme music. No stereo, no nothing. It just starts playing the best possible tune for that moment whenever possible. Thankfully, I've learned to turn mine off so it isn't annoying me all the time.
