Shrimp Scared of Chicken

Since chicken was such a success with the triops, I placed a small piece in the tank with my dwarf shrimp to see if they'd eat it. They were quite wary of it and didn't swarm all over it like I'd hoped, but I did eventually see one of them feeding on it after it had been sitting in the tank for a couple of days. I don't know if it was feeding on the chicken itself or the bacteria and algae that had formed a biofilm on it's surface, and I removed it shortly after that to prevent it from fouling the tank with ammonia and other decomposition by-products.
