Setting out on a Summer afternoon from Dartmouth in Canada, the icebreaker Louis St Laurent sets sail for the Arctic Circle and the fabled North-West Passage. The bleak snowy islands and frozen waters of the Passage have proved fatal to hundreds of explorers and sailors, but the Arctic is changing. Our warming earth is most dramatically revealed in this modern day journey through the North West Passage. A revealing and worrying documentary from the Four Corners team.

to those who say ice levels are back to normal, research people. It's as easy a one, simple google search you know. Is a little effort too much to ask?

@AtlasObjectivist What an embarrassment, they don't seem to realize penguins don't live alongside polar bears. And what an embarrassment they take and run an icebreaker through perfectly good sea ice...such hypocrisy!

What an embarrassment, Arctic Sea ice is now back to normal. Global Warming was the biggest fraud ever perpetrated on the human race.

Barring an about face by nature or adjustments, it appears that for the first time since 2001, Arctic Sea ice will hit the normal line as defined by the National Snow and Ice Data Center (NSIDC) for this time of year.
