Jeeze, all you guys below me, can't you just like music in general? I prefer old school hip-hop to anything, but I will listen to damn near anything. Except (most) new stuff. Music is music and if it helps you think, get by, have a good time, who gives a rat's ass if it's Motley Crue, Ozzy, Eminem, the beatles, hell even britney spears. If you like it, you like it for a reason! Music is passion!

@RealTalk147 actually, its from the late 60's and the hippie movement started in the mid-60's, heavy metal was popular amongst angrier post-free love flower children who had become despondent and angry over the situation in vietnam and their feeling of helplessness in the political spectrum. so metal is really a product of REALLY pissed off ex-hippies.

My girlfriend is giving me shit about Heavy Metal Music and stuff. Says its loud and kills her plants. But she don't complain when I listen to, "Me and you and a dog like Boo" and that silly Hippy Shit with her. But then she loves, "It's A Long Way To The Top" and, "Ozzy Osbourne songs". It's like a fuckin Dr. Phil Show here half the time when I play my music.
