  • is there a mobile console at Notre-Dame? Because if i'm ever playing there, I wouldn't play the gallery Organ, because its to close to the pipes, and having that Chamade roaring in your ear can give you a missimpression on volume.

  • No there is no mobile console:-) Why should be a mobile console?? The 8000 pipes is behind the player's spine ! :-)

  • I truly admire all three organists.

  • a dear friend of mine once told me a story about how 2 organists in a row having a stroke during Chirstmas eve mass, and so knowing this, the 3rd gentleman requested not to play then just for that reason.

  • Can't this ignorant bugger speak English?

  • Fantastic insrument!

  • @Qcumber

'Musique de religion' is more than just odd. It doesn't actually exist in French language

  • Yes, in fact the console is somewhat "mobile", in that it is all electric action and connected to a computer (by Synaptel) than to the pipework.

  • @RomeoMadureira i agree!

  • My fave is Lawnmower 16' in the Solo division.

  • Never judge an organ based on looks; in fact, I've seen some organs that look like an un-finshed Plywood box console, very plain wooden pipes, and sheet metal reeds. It suprized me; how ever, with a soul stirring sound. IT's THE MUSIC THAT COUNTS! Not the LOOKS!

  • I would just die lauging if he was a relative of Archbishop Marcel Lefevbre, and his cousin Card.Lefevbre.

  • That's not important
