  • Umemiya showed great skill and even more character. He should be proud of his performance. I feel that in his mind, the challenge of Michiba was the victory, not the winning or losing...it would be an honor for any "common" chef to go up against someone as great as Michiba.

  • I was surprised that he challenged Michiba, I guess he knew he didn't stand a chance at winning. Great battle though, he was a funny guy. I hope he wasn't too disappointed with his soup.

  • @andry8887 they didnt start putting up the scores until there were 4 tasters later on in the series

  • i'd have loved to see him challenge sakai, he is usually pretty funny.

  • Where are the scores from the judges??? they forgot to put it up or what? lol

  • @KevinMcDunn

I saw that episode just the other night, and was thinking the exact same thing.

  • XDD are u talking about the rosanjin scholar? XD ahaha,

i was laughing wen he made that last comment on michiba, cuz like...he barely talked...then out of no where...

    "everything was a success today."

    lol

  • under the moonlight in the desert...

...wat? XD wow i commend the shichiro-san for his..imagination lol =D

  • I think there was an IC America with Puck vs IC Morimoto, and Flay vs IC Sakai. I think both Japanese chefs lost.

Then again, there probably is some kind of favoritism going on (judges were American, and the show is ICA). I remember this one special guest that his palette is so unsophisticated (it's a battle w/ Morimoto in it I think), that it makes you wonder if he's even qualified to judge (the type that only eats burgers & spaghetti). Win rates of Morimoto and Cora is also suspiciously low

  • The actress looks very pretty in her kimono!

  • mmm, I read that Danny Kaye was a great Chinese cook

  • I prefer the episodes that have four judges.
