NOTE!!: Do NOT rename your browser to .pif, or you risk not being able to change it back to .exe!
GUIDE A: For users with a browser other than IE:
1. Reboot into Safe Mode with Networking: http://www.computerhope.com/issues/chsafe.htm
2. Locate the executable location for whatever browser you're using.
Ex.
Firefox
C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox\firefox.exe
Chrome:
%APPDATA%\Google\Application\chrome.exe
Opera:
C:\Program Files\Opera\opera.exe
3. Rename one of the executables to have a .scr or .com extension at the end
4. Run the renamed program and download Combofix from here: http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/download/anti-virus/combofix
5. Save the file as either .com or .scr (combofix.exe.scr)
6. Run Combofix. Accept the disclaimer, and the recovery console is optional, but not necessary for removal
7. Follow any extra on-screen instructions
8. Close the log and reboot
9. Download and run a full scan with MBAM: http://malwarebytes.org/mbam-download.php
10. You're done!
GUIDE B: For users with only Internet Explorer
1. Reboot into Safe Mode with Networking: http://www.computerhope.com/issues/chsafe.htm
2. From another computer, download Combofix from here: http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/download/anti-virus/combofix
3. Save the file to a flash drive or burn to a CD as either .com or .scr (combofix.exe.scr)
4. Insert your removable drive into the infected computer
5. Run Combofix. Accept the disclaimer, and the recovery console is optional, but not necessary for removal
6. Follow any extra on-screen instructions
7. Close the log and reboot
8. Download and run a full scan with MBAM: http://malwarebytes.org/mbam-download.php
9. You're done!

Rogue, uncheck "Show extensions only for uncommon file types" in Folder Options and you should be able to erase the .pif extension.

@fklstv7 Me too, I'm lucky I got my computer fixed by someone in my family that managed to remove this thing. I don't have the money for a new computer and I'm lucky I backed up data too. And little? I bet everyone who makes these are over weight and live in a basement.

Holy crap. I understand that a lot of neckbeards want to get out of their mom's basement to move all their hentai mags but DAMN.
Why the hell does someone have to be so lazy as to make a rogue have ~30 names!?
I would make a damn Rogue that disables all internet use, file operation, it deletes taskmngr.exe, and best of all.......
It deletes solitaire. I'm such an evil bastard.
