Oh yes, Jody's quite the guitar picker,..he had to be,..he's the son of the great late "Crazy Joe Maphis",a pioneer of the electric guitar. I met Jody back in 75' when he played drums for Earl Scruggs Review. He'd come home with my sister to hang out, and he played the hell out of my Gibson J-45 guitar, he went on to play guitar for Johnny Rodriguez, Johnny Cash, Gary Allen and several more folks.along the way,...his daddy would be proud,..and his momma Rose Lee is too, look up his folks on YT.
Well, I'll be! There's Jody Maphis. Saw him many times with the Earl Scruggs Revue. What a great drummer. Didn't know he played the guitar as well. Love Michael Hearne!
