Thanks so much for uploading this, Cmel! What a treat! I could listen to Chaka explain & give details on her catalog all day. I'd love to hear her thoughts today on gems like 'Whoever's Thrilling You', 'Losers In Love', 'Tearin' It Up', 'Any Old Sunday', etc. Those numbers may be more commercial sounding than songs like 'Earth Song' & much more obscure than her big hits but they're still some of the best things she ever recorded. Hopefully Part 2 happens as planned! Thanks again, Cmel.

This interview floored me on a number of levels. I started college in '75 and was in love with Chaka and her music since '74 when I first heard her & Rufus. I was also turned on to so many new artists when I got to college. One of my roommates favorite artist was Joni Mitchell. We were quite tight at the time and now I understand part of the connection. When Chaka mentioned who her all time favorite artist was. so many wonderful memories came back to me from that time. Thank you David!

15:15 to16:40 is PRICELESS. Just imagine if GOD didn't bless Chaka with that liberated mentality. We probably would've never heard of her. This is hands down the BEST CK interview I have ever heard or seen. Chaka is so relaxed and reserved here and I like that. She seems like she could talk to David Nathan for hours. Thanks for giving us Chakaholic's an unexpected Christmas gift. You are always on the come up, Cmel, and I adore you for that. Merry Xmas, Baby!!!!!!
