a real bass player uses a pick for the tonal qualties at the right time and uses his fingers for the tonal qualities at the right time, or whatever other plucking techniques.

Is there any effects on this bass or it's just from the tone control and pick attack? What strings do you have on this?
Thanks!

Not all ! The Höfner 500/1 is a 30" scale but the Rickenbacker 4001S is a 34".

Just started playing bass right before you posted this video (had a Fender Squire for 2 months), sold it and bought a new Fender Mustang reissue. YOUR song here sold me on the Mustang and inspired me to practice and learn!!! I'm going to start posting my own covers on YouTube soon so I can find some guys to play with here in St. louis. I grew up on 70's rock (now classic rock) and play a lot of KISS & Poison. And yes, I'm 54! THANKS AGAIN for the inspiration.

If the serial number is in the headstock, then its a 1974. If the serial number is in the neckplate, then its from 1960, but I dont think the Mustang was made in the 60, so I guess the serial number must be in the headstock isnt it? 1974... a genuine vintage Fender piece. The Stratos from those years are mucyh more expensive than the Mustang basses, but... who knows.
