Hey :) Thanks! I appreciate your compliment!! And I hope your flare up gets into remission A.S.A.P!!!

Hang in there. I was diagnosed with UC 20 years ago, and I'm still rolling without surgery. Granted, right now I'm in the middle of a flare... but there's life with UC and I'm proud of you (even though I don't know you) for tackling school and keeping a good head on your shoulders.

Thanks for your concern =). As a quick update I am doing just fine. Eating what I want and doing the whole college thing :) Nothing to worry about just yet!

You know my little brother had UC almost two years ago, he had surgery earlier this year and completed his final stage of his surgery in March of 2009. He's completely cured and happy with the results. He's signed up and made the cut on his baseball team, and when it comes to eating he eats anything (i mean anything) he wants excluding hot sauce. So you know when it comes to UC there is a cure, don't let the scary stories of surgeries gone wrong scare you

So I hear there is a cure. During the second flare up of the year I talked to my gastroenterologist and asked her if surgery was possible. She said that should be the last option for me and she would be more inclined to say yes if I had had more flare ups during the year. Though twice in one year isn't that bad...I just hope it doesn't come back for years instead of months lol.
