The fifth in a series of tutorials about how to develop mental and emotional fitness. It is the first in a series of three that will teach you how to develop an internal locus of control, the second of four cognitive life skills important to mental and emotional fitness. It starts by defining what locus of control means, and the two types, external and internal. It explains why the vast majority of people have an external locus, and what the downsides are of having one. It ends by giving the real formula for feelings and talking about how feelings really come about, and what the selling points are for developing an internal locus of control.

  • Thanks. Appreciate the comment. Trying to get this to become a regular part of the education students receive around the country, but it's an uphill battle. Doing some programs at our county jail, with LGBTQ individuals, and at-risk youth, but slow going getting others to listen.
