- Tired of $600 side-pipe (side exhuast) kits that lose power in the end? Make your own! Note* The shorter the muffler, the less drastic a bend you need to make. The thinner, the closer to the middle of the car they can be situated, also making for less of a bend.

  • You know you can buy angled tips to get the look right like on the 14914 Borla mustang exhaust.

  • @ladygodia Correct, thats how im doing my current side-exit set-up with it going out the side panel of the body.

  • ok thats nice. but what do you do about having subframe connectors and the pipses rubbing when u go over speed bumps or high driveways ect??????

  • @hugoortiz05 Subframe connectors is the real problem. Only way to maybe go around that is the stepped design from spintech subframe connectors. On my track car im actually running it under the rear seats and out the side fender of the car. As for speed bumps and driveways, my SLP catted X midpipe was actually lower than the tips. It's not horribly in the way.

  • Title says "How to make your own side exhaust" So I watched it over a few times. Still waiting for the part where I am shown " How to make my own side exhaust " So for me the video is a fail as I have learned nothing other than your car has a nice sound :-(

  • @Maximusfool It's how you can design it the right way, unlike the Brand name ones that snake back and forth and lose power. I can only give you the blueprints, assembly required.

  • my buddy has side exit exhaust on his diesel truck. Its fun to hand out soot sandwiches to people talking on their cell phones with their windows down.

  • Hey, what mufflers did you use on this system?

  • props man looks very good!

  • @hugoortiz05

Dont go over speed bumps and drive the car accordingly.

  • Awesome video, awesome exhaust, awesome Mustang. I love it. Well done. You've done exactly what I've been planning for my recently restored 89 GT. My only question for you is since my car has shorties, and an O/R H pipe, how much louder than yours will it be, considering your car is catted? I've read that cats suppress alot of volume, do you have any input on how your setup would sound without cats? Thanks again for posting, this gets me fired up to start cuttin' some pipe!

  • Wow what a nice mustang, sounds good to. Check out my 04 Town car with custom side pipes.Ill get a vid soon of what the tips and everything underneath the car look like

  • will it work if I put it on my impreza? =p

  • whats the point of the double tip?

  • :o Dexter
