@LTS1287 it's "sudo apt-get install recordmydesktop", or you must be logged in as root/su/super user to do apt-get install recordmydesktop. Just sayin'

@ThizzFaceOffNike did you know what you were doing, did you delete the wrong partition, did you defragment first?

@Emassa1024 I tried to use recordmydesktop in Gnome 3 but it makes the top panel disappear.

Hey, OP. Take my advice:
apt-get install recordmydesktop

easy enough to fix... run your windows recovery use your win cd to auto fix and then make sure you have a 100% clean partition where it is titled not as empty partition but make sure is it says unused space.. when installing ubuntu make sure to select "install to largest free space" it will then create 3 partitions of its own and should not harm your windows install... i do this 2 times every release so if it doesn't work there is no hope ..lol..

yes, it's not :) install gnome mutter and run, look animation gnome-shell, the gnome-shell is gnome 3
